⚠️ Requirements for installations without Steinberg Download Assistant
Before installing any of the Dorico 4 components below, the following utilities must be installed resp. updated:

If they are missing or not up-to-date, the installation without the Steinberg Download Assistant will fail.
APPLICATION INSTALLER FOR DORICO PRO, DORICO ELEMENTS AND DORICO SE
- Can be used for new installations as well as for updating Dorico 4.
- When updating an existing Dorico 4 installation, using the Applications Installer is sufficient.
Installing HALion Sonic and the content is only required when installing from the scratch. - The installation includes all versions of Dorico 4. The present license decides whether Pro, Elements or SE can be used.

DORICO 4 CONTENT
The content is required by HALion Sonic. Content files are cross-platform.
Installation of content
- Download the desired content.
- Dorico 4 content generally consists of vstsound files. To make them downloadable, the files have been condensed in an ISO disk image.
- Double-click the downloaded ISO disk image. It will be mounted as a virtual volume.
- Double-click on one of the contained vstsound files.
- The Steinberg Library Manager will be started automatically and offers the installation of all vstsound files.

OLDER DORICO 4 INSTALLERS
In general, we recommend downloading via the Steinberg Download Assistant and always using the latest program version.
In exceptional cases, it can be useful to install an older version. For this purpose, previous installers can be downloaded using the links below. These files are not available in the Steinberg Download Assistant anymore.
The installers can be used to install Dorico from scratch or to update older existing Dorico 4 installations.
However, please note that we can provide support for the latest release only.
Information on every single update can be found in the Version History PDF of the latest update.
